MEMORIALS est un groupe pop expérimental qui crée des voyages cosmiques dans le psych rock, le folk farfelu et l'électronique analogique sauvage, animé par l'esprit du free jazz, ce qui lui vaut d'être comparé à Broadcast, Portishead et The Velvet Underground. Le duo composé de Verity Susman (Electrelane) et Matthew Simms (Wire) s'est formé en 2022, juste avant la sortie de leur bande originale, avec deux albums publiés le même jour en 2023 : Music For Film: Tramps! Music For Film : Women Against The Bomb Leur musique est incroyablement variée tout en conservant une identité propre. Elle est entièrement produite par les deux artistes dans leur propre studio, à l'aide de techniques d'enregistrement analogiques, de magnétophones à bobines et d'effets vintage. Les nombreuses propositions de concerts à travers le monde ont permis au groupe de découvrir une nouvelle source d'inspiration créative en dehors de son travail pour le cinéma. En 2024, ils ont signé chez Fire Records pour sortir leur premier album très attendu, Memorial Waterslides.
