DORIAN: Portrait of the Insatiable is a musical, queer adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray , directed by Igor Alvarez Cugat and with lyrics by Josephine Scholte.

A modern-day Dorian Gray, played by Rowan Kievits, discovers his beauty when an artist friend paints him. In his quest for eternal youth, he immerses himself in the nightlife. He discovers where his lust can take him and indulges in fleeting romances with men, often while intoxicated.

Meanwhile, he harbors a deep secret: while he loses none of his youthful beauty, his image in the painting becomes increasingly ugly. As he slowly becomes alienated from everyone around him, and from himself, his desire for endless pleasure takes a dangerous turn.

A psychological trip full of questions about aesthetics and ethics, pleasure, happiness and feasibility.
